Festive Lantern #4

This elegant ornament was completely hand made from reclaimed sterling silver, original lampwork (glass) beads and hand-drawn copper and silver wire hoops.  Swarovski crystals and sterling silver beads/bead caps added for some extra sparkle in your tree! This piece can also be worn as a pendant, just remove the hook and add the chain of your choice.

I have been learning a lot about reclaiming materials this year.  I have learned to melt down scrap silver and roll it into sheet and draw my own wire. It is labour intensive but totally worth the effort. With the costs of materials increasing drastically and all sorts of shipping challenges, this has been a lifesaver for me as an independent artist.
